Having trouble finding your TV remote? Don't worry! You can download a virtual remote control from the App Store on your smartphone.
With a virtual remote, you can easily control your devices without needing the physical remote. It's like having a remote control right on your phone!
Before you can download the app to your device, please be sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to the same Wifi as your device.
Roku
1. Open your Google Play Store or App Store
2. Select the Search feature and type The Roku App
3. Select Get/Install
4. Open The Roku App and select Allow to use the mobile app remote and control your Roku devices
5. Select Continue then select Sign In to sign into your Roku account or Continue as Guest
6. Select Devices on the lower right and select the TV you would like to connect to
7. Select Remote to open the remote interface
VIZIO
1. Open your Google Play Store or App Store
2. Select the Search feature and type VIZIO Mobile
3. Select Install
4. Open the VIZIO Mobile app and select Add Device
- Select the device you wish to connect
5. Enter the pin generated from your TV screen in the app
- Your device will make a sound indicating the device and app have successfully connected
Amazon Fire TV
1. Open your Google Play Store or App Store
2. Select the Search feature and type Amazon Fire TV
3. Select Install
4. Open the Amazon Fire TV Mobile app
5. Sign into your Amazon account
5. Select Add Device
- Select the device you wish to connect
6. Enter the pin generated from your TV screen in the app
Apple TV
To add the Apple TV remote:
For latest versions of iOS or iPadOS, the Apple TV remote is automatically added to your Control Center.
For earlier versions of iOS or iPadOS, manually add the Apple TV remote to your Control Center by following these steps:
1. Go to Settings and select Control Center
2. Select the green plus sign next to Apple TV remote
To connect the remote to your TV:
1. Open your Control Center
- On iPhone X or later or iPad with the latest version, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen
- On iPhone 8 or earlier or iOS 11 or earlier, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen
2. Select the Apple TV Remote
3. Select your Apple TV from the list
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter a four-digit passcode into your iPhone or iPad
- For Apple TV 3rd generation, use your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote to enter the four-digit passcode into your Apple TV
